HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2022-197 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-197 R ESOLUTION O RDERING P REPARATION OF P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS AND O RDERING A DVERTISEMENT FOR B IDS FOR THE D EMOLITION OF THE F OUR S EASONS M ALL WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the demolition of the Four Seasons Mall located at 4200 Lancaster Lane North, which is currently owned by the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, inspections, reports, and plans and specifications are needed to understand the full scope of the demolition including pre-demolition abatement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Council authorizes the preparation of the necessary documents to prepare for the demolition of the Four Seasons Mall property. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and on Quest CDN an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such plans and specifications and reports. The advertisement shall be published two times, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received online by QuestCDN on a date set by staff at which time they will be publicly displayed in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Engineer and City Clerk, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the council at a regular meeting, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless submitted online via the QuestCDN bidding site and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. 3. The Plymouth Engineering Division and/or its designated consultant is the engineer for the improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement and report back to the Council for when a recommendation is prepared for the award of bid. 4. The expenditures for this project shall be funded from the Transit Fund in an amount not to exceed $1.5 million unless additional Council authorization is approved to increase said amount. APPROVED by the City Council on this 26th day of July, 2022.
