R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-188
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING L IFTING “N O P ARKING” R ESTRICTIONS
FOR A P ORTION OF THE S OUTH S IDE OF 34 TH A VENUE N ORTH
E AST OF P LYMOUTH B OULEVARD
WHEREAS, parking restrictions exist on the south side of 34th Avenue N. from Plymouth
Boulevard to Fernbrook Lane; and
WHEREAS, 34th Avenue N. has adequate width to accommodate a travel lane in each direction
with parking on both sides without impacting traffic; and
WHEREAS, community events, activities at the Plymouth Community Center, and neighboring
properties have additional demand for parking; and
WHEREAS, the roadway has historically operated adequately during these events where
parking is allowed on both sides of the roadway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is the property owner of the section of roadway located
a point approximately 430 feet east of Plymouth Boulevard to a point approximately 1,560 east
of Plymouth Boulevard.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the removal of “No Parking” signage on the south side of 34th Avenue North from a
point approximately 430 feet east of Plymouth Boulevard to a point approximately 1,560 east of
Plymouth Boulevard is approved.
