C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-168
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING THE D ONATION OF S URPLUS F IRE E QUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Fire Department has surplus ice rescue suits, vehicle stabilization struts,
gear lockers and a gear washer/extractor; and
WHEREAS, this surplus equipment no longer meets the standard of the Plymouth Fire Department or
is no longer needed due to the Plymouth fire station remodel/rebuild project; and
WHEREAS, this surplus equipment has no value to the City of Plymouth or the Plymouth Fire
Department but would be a benefit to another municipality in need, and the Ideal Fire Department in Pequot
Lakes was identified as a Minnesota fire department that would benefit; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statute 466.03, Subd. 24 allows for the donation of this type of surplus
equipment with tort immunity for the City of Plymouth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that donation of surplus fire equipment to the Ideal Fire Department is approved.
