R ESOLUTION D ESIGNATING C ONSULTING E NGINEER FOR THE
S TATION 73 T RANSIT AND E AGLE L AKE R EGIONAL T RAIL I MPROVEMENT P ROJECT
F INAL D ESIGN AND B IDDING S ERVICES (ST230003)
WHEREAS, the Station 73 Transit and Eagle Lake to Bryant Regional Trail Improvement Project is
listed in the proposed 2022-2031 Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the project involves constructing a pedestrian and bicycle trail system, a Highway 55
pedestrian and bicycle underpass, and bus stop improvements along Highway 55; and
WHEREAS, the project was identified in the Highway 55 Bus Rapid Transit station area
improvement microstudy completed by the City; and
WHEREAS, the trail connections contemplated with the project are supported by the Three
Rivers Park District Bryant to Eagle Lake Regional Trail master plan; and
WHEREAS, a proposal was received and evaluated by staff; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends Kimley-Horn be designated as the consulting engineer for the final
design and bidding services phase of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that Kimley-Horn is designated as the City’s consulting engineer for the Station 73 Transit
and Eagle Lake to Bryant Lake Regional Trail Improvement Project (Formerly Station 73 Access
Improvement Project) (ST230003) in the amount of $464,785.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding for this project shall be from the Transit Fund in the amount
of $464,785.00.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 14th day of June, 2022.
