HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2022-142 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-142 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING M INNESOTA F INANCIAL C RIMES T ASK F ORCE J OINT P OWERS A GREEMENT WHEREAS, the Minnesota Financial Crimes Task Force (MNFCTF) was formed in 2000 and it protects and serves the public by investigating financial crimes related to identity theft, with a special emphasis on organized criminal enterprises; and WHEREAS, the Minnesota Financial Crimes Task Force is comprised of multi-jurisdictional law enforcement agencies working together to provide investigative expertise and resources, and it works in partnership with local, state and federal agencies and provides training, funding, and technology to its task force members as part of their membership; and WHEREAS, the Plymouth Police Department joined the MNFCTF in May of 2019. The joint powers agreement was updated in February 2022. The Plymouth Police Department wants to continue its membership by signing the updated joint powers agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the contract agreement is approved and the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute said agreement. APPROVED by the City Council on this 10th day of May, 2022.
