R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-133
R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT FOR
P INEVIEW L ANE AND P LUM T REE E AST R EHABILITATION P ROJECT (ST229002)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Pineview Lane and Plum Tree East
Rehabilitation Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

New Look Contracting, Inc. $1,460,534.00

Park Construction Company $1,887,643.40
Engineers Estimate $1,259,635.40
WHEREAS, it appears that Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. of Saint Joseph, MN, is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to Asphalt Surface Technologies
Corp.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to enter into the contract with
Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. of Saint Joseph, MN, in the name of the City of Plymouth
for the Pineview Lane and Plum Tree East Rehabilitation Project according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City
Engineer in the amount of $1,331,455.91.
2. The total cost of the project is $1,949,145.49 and includes the improvements in the amount
of $1,331,455.91, City paving costs of $292,832.00, 15% engineering and administration in
the amount of $243,643.18, and 5% contingency in the amount of $81,214.40.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the project would be funded from the street reconstruction fund
($1,530,538.49), special assessments ($283,807.00), water fund ($100,000.00), sewer fund ($16,800.00),
and water resources fund ($18,000.00).
APPROVED by the City Council on this 26th day of April, 2022.
