R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-126
R ESOLUTION OF S UPPORT FOR
C OMMUNITY P ROJECT F UNDING P ROGRAM R EQUEST
WHEREAS, the Community Project Funding (CPF) program is currently soliciting federal fiscal
year 2023 projects for consideration by the House Appropriations Committee; and
WHEREAS, Congressman Dean Phillips is accepting applications for CPF within Congressional
District 3 in which his office will prioritize requests and determine which proposals to submit to the
House Appropriations Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has identified and approved the Zachary Water Treatment Plant
(WTP) enhancements in its capital improvement plan for 2023; and
WHEREAS, the Zachary WTP project will enhance drinking water quality, improve plant
production efficiency, reduce water use (conservation), and minimize loading to the Metropolitan
Council Environmental Sewer trunk lines; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project meets the qualifying criteria for submittal to the CPF, identified
within the guidance of the Interior and Environment House Subcommittee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that submittal to the Community Project Funding program in an amount of $2,000,000 for
the Zachary WTP project is hereby approved.
