Review Plans for Hilde Performance Center Improvements George Watson, City consultant from Brauer and Associates, discussed and illustrated Phase I improvements to the interior portion of the Hilde Performance Center at a cost not to exceed $1.2 million. The proposed improvements would increase the seating and improve the usability of the site. for Music in Plymouth and other events. Two areas of high importance are increasing the seating for approximately 3,000 people and having better vending areas to serve the large crowd at Music in Plymouth. The goal is to have 95% of the project completed by October 2010. Mayor Slavik asked about the removal of tress. Mr. Watson stated they would be minimizing the impact of the tree removal. He noted that there are some trees near the new seating area that are very low quality and should be removed anyway. They have also moved the smaller stage area further to the east so very few trees would be removed on the west side of the area. Park Director Blank stated staff would be preparing a brief information article in the spring 2010 Park and Recreation booklet in order to educate the public.
