Special Council Meeting
August 26, 2008
Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. in the
Medicine Lake Conference Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on August 26, 2008.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councihnembers Hewitt, Stein, Bildsoe, Murdock, Black,
and Willis (arrived at 5:45 p.m.).
ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Ahrens, Administrative Services Director Portner, Finance
Manager Bursheim, City Engineer Moberg, Fire Chief Kline, Police Chief Goldstein, Park and
Recreation Director Blank, and City Clerk Engdahl.
Discussion of 2009 Budget
Staff and Council continued their discussion from the August 19 Budget Study Session.
Administrative Services Director Portner and Finance Manager Bursheim discussed the debt
analysis report and the solid waste fund analysis which was requested at the previous meeting.
The Council stated they support the 2009 revised maximum tax levy of $29,155,319.
The Council scheduled a Special Meeting on September 16 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the 2009-2013
Capital Improvement Program and concept plans for the Hilde Performance Center.
Adiournment
Mayor Slavik adjourned the meeting at 6:15 p.11.
