HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 11-10-2008 SpecialAdopted Minutes Special Council Meeting November 10, 2008 Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. in the Medicine Lake Conference Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on November 10, 2008. COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Stein, Murdock, Black, Hewitt, Willis, and Bildsoe (arrived at 5:48 p.m.). ABSENT: None. STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Ahrens, Public Works Director Cote, and City Clerk Engdahl. Canvass Results of General Election Motion was made by Councilmember Willis, and seconded by Councilmember Hewitt, to adopt a Resolution Certifying the Results of November 4 General Election (Res2008-390). With all members voting in favor, the motion carried. Update on Transportation Issues Since Councihnember Hewitt didn't seek reelection to the Ward 1 Council seat, she updated the Council on a number of transportation issues and committees that she currently served on, which included the Surface Transportation Authority, I-494 and Highway 169 Corridor Commissions, Transit for Livable Communities, and the Dial -A -Ride bus service. The Council requested that staff provide a list of membership dues for the various transportation groups to the City Council for its review. Update with the City Manager The Council conducted the quarterly update with the City Manager. Adjournment Mayor Slavik adjourned the meeting at 6:57 p. andra R.
