C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-102
R ESOLUTION D ESIGNATING P OLLING L OCATIONS FOR 2022 E LECTIONS
WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Minnesota has been redistricted; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 204B.14 requires that precinct boundaries must be reestablished
within 60 days of when the legislature has been redistricted or at least 19 weeks before the state
primary election, whichever comes first; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 204B.14 requires the governing body of each municipality to
designate polling places for each election precinct within 30 days of establishing precinct boundaries or
at least 19 weeks before the state primary election in a year ending in two, whichever comes first; and
WHEREAS, changes to the polling place locations may be made at least 90 days before the next
election if one or more of the designated polling places becomes unavailable for use; and
WHEREAS, changes to the polling place locations may be made in the case of an emergency
when it is necessary to ensure a safe and secure location for voting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the following locations are designated as polling locations for the 2022 Primary and
General Elections on August 9 and November 8 respectively:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city clerk is hereby authorized to designate a replacement
location meeting the requirements of the Minnesota Election Law for any polling place designated in
this Resolution that becomes unavailable for use by the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city clerk is hereby authorized to designate an emergency
replacement polling place meeting the requirements of the Minnesota Election Law for any polling place
designated in this Resolution when necessary to ensure a safe and secure location for voting.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city clerk is directed to send a copy of this Resolution and
any subsequent polling place designations to the Hennepin County Auditor and Secretary of State.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city clerk or county auditor shall notify each affected
registered voter of the change in polling place at least 25 days prior to the first election in which the new
polling places are used.
