R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-034
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING T EMPORARY E ASEMENT FOR THE
H WY 169/CSAH 9 I NTERCHANGE P ROJECT
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation “MnDOT” has established and
designated the route of Trunk Highway No. 169 which travels within the City of Plymouth municipal
limits; and
WHEREAS, MnDOT has planned improvements, State Project No. 272-115, for the replacement
of the interchange of Highway 169 and Hennepin County State Aid Highway 9 “CSAH 9”; and
WHEREAS, said improvements include reconstruction of CSAH 9 to and including the
intersection with Lancaster Lane North/Nathan Lane North; and
WHEREAS, proposed improvements include construction of Americans with Disability Act “ADA”
compliant ramps and a pedestrian sidewalk at the intersection of CSAH 9/Lancaster Lane North/Nathan
Lane North; and
WHEREAS, MnDOT has requested the City approve a no fee temporary permit to construct the
ADA compliant ramps and pedestrian sidewalk on land which the City of Plymouth has interest in; and
WHEREAS, the temporary permit would be effective immediately and expire on December 1,
2025 or when construction has been completed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to enter into this Temporary
Permit to Construct for Governmental Entities with MnDOT in the name of the City of Plymouth for
Parcel 207A of the Highway 169/CSAH 9 Interchange Project as shown in Right of Way Exhibit A.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 8th day of February, 2022.
