R ESOLUTION R ECEIVING P RELIMINARY E NGINEERING R EPORT, O RDERING P REPARATION OF
P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS, AND C ALLING FOR A P UBLIC H EARING FOR THE
2022 V ICKSBURG L ANE I MPROVEMENTS (ST229005)
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted January 25, 2022, a report has
been prepared with reference to the recommended project area including Vicksburg Lane between
th
Highway 55 and Old Rockford Road and 38 Avenue west of Vicksburg Lane; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement include pavement reclamation, pavement mill and
overlay, storm sewer and utility improvements, signal improvements, trail replacement, trail
construction, landscaping improvements, and all necessary appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on January 25, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection
with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended; and a
description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and
the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the designated 2022 Vicksburg Lane
Improvements, City Project No. ST229005, for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant
to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total
cost of the improvement of $5,550,427.22.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 22nd day of March,
2022, in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m.,
and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required
by law.
3. The Plymouth Engineering Division is designated as engineer for the improvement. They
shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
