HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2022-020 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-020 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P AYMENT N O. 6 AND F INAL FOR THE 2021 S TREET R EHABILITATION P ROJECT (ST219002) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner, and Park Construction Company as the contractor, have entered into an agreement for the 2021 Street Rehabilitation Project. Said agreement was approved by the City Council on April 13, 2021; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the request for final payment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. That the original contract amount between the owner and the contractor was $2,862,069.05, the revised contract amount was $2,873,352.40, and the value of the work to date is $2,926,750.03 and is approved. The final contract amount is $53,397.63, or 1.8% over the revised contract amount. 2. That the work performed by the contractor for the 2021 Street Rehabilitation Project and certified to the Council by the engineer as acceptable, being the same, is released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the owner, required guarantees, and correction of faulty work after final payment. 3. Request for Payment No. 6 and Final in the amount of $77,118,14 to Park Construction Company for the 2021 Street Rehabilitation Project is approved and the Finance Manager is authorized and directed to pay the same forthwith. 4. The total project cost is $4,530,085.64 which includes contracted construction costs ($2,926,750.03), prior completed preventative maintenance ($626,231.58), mill & overlay by City Forces ($467,905.67), and engineering, administration, and inspection ($509,198.36). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funding for this project would be from Street Reconstruction Fund ($978,644.89), MSA Fund ($1,441,413.86), special assessments ($1,346,352.32), Water Fund ($342,720.93), Water Resources Fund ($24,001.36), Sewer Fund ($241,775.28), Park Replacement Fund ($128,532.51), and Park Dedication Fund ($26,644.49). APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of January, 2022.
