R ESOLUTION TO A PPROVE A J OINT P OWERS A GREEMENT WITH H ENNEPIN C OUNTY
TO P ROVIDE AN E MBEDDED S ENIOR S OCIAL W ORKER
WHEREAS, The City of Plymouth has shared a Hennepin County embedded senior social worker
with the City of Minnetonka since 2019; and
WHEREAS, since 2019, there has been a steady increase in social service needs within the City of
Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, to continue to effectively provide quality service to residents in need of behavioral or
mental health assistance, a full time senior social worker is needed; and
WHEREAS, the current Joint Powers Agreement with Hennepin County and the cities of
Minnetonka and Plymouth expires on February 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS, an updated Joint Powers Agreement with Hennepin County is necessary to reflect a
full time embedded senior social worker within the City of Plymouth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the joint powers agreement with Hennepin County is hereby approved.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of January, 2022.
