HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2022-016 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-016 R ESOLUTION A WARDING C ONTRACT AND E NTER INTO F UNDING A GREEMENT WITH M INNEHAHA C REEK W ATERSHED D ISTRICT FOR THE M APLE C REEK S TREAM R ESTORATION P ROJECT (WR200001) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Maple Creek Stream Restoration Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to State law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Total Bid JACON LLC $359,985.58 New Look Contracting, Inc. $412,515.00 Minger Construction Co, Inc. $479,323.95 Meyer Contracting, Inc. $505,174.25 Veit & Company, Inc. $570,146.70 Urban Companies $614,877.00 Engineer’s Estimate $383,328.00 WHEREAS, JACON LLC from Vadnais Heights, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder complying with the minimum qualifications; and WHEREAS, the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District will be a funding partner for the project per the included Funding Agreement; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends awarding the project to JACON LLC and entering into the funding agreement with the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that: 1) The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to enter into a contract with JACON LLC in the name of the City of Plymouth for the Maple Creek Stream Restoration Project according to the plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $359,985.58. 2) The total cost of the project is $429,085.58 and includes the improvements in the amount of $359,985.58 and design, administration, and contingency in the amount of $69,100.00. 3) The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to enter into a funding agreement for $100,000.00 with the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District in the name of the City of Plymouth for the Maple Creek Stream Restoration Project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the project would be funded in the amount of $359,985.58 from the Water Resources Fund and reimbursed for $100,000 by the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District. APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of January, 2022.
