R ESOLUTION N O. 2022-014
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING THE 2022 PART-TIME FIREFIGHTER COMPENSATION PLAN AND
PAYMENT FOR FIREFIGHTER DISABILITY INSURANCE PREMIUM
WHEREAS, the city manager has recommended the establishment of 2022 pay rates for part-time
firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the city manager has recommended payment of one-half of the premium for a disability
insurance policy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the 2022 part-time firefighter compensation plan and disability insurance premium are
hereby approved as follows:
1. Approve the following rates of pay for part-time firefighters and officers
2022 PROPOSED
TITLE HOURLY RATES
Firefighter $13.05--$16.00
Fire Lieutenant $16.00 + $1.50 = $17.50
Fire Prevention Specialist $16.00 + $1.50 = $17.50
Fire Captain $16.00 + $3.00 = $19.00
Fire Assistant Chief $16.00 + $6.00 = $22.00
2. Authorize a payment of up to $3,500 to be made toward one-half of the premium for disability
insurance.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 11th day of January, 2022.
