HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2021-342 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2021-342 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P AYMENT N O. 7 AND F INAL FOR THE S CHMIDT L AKE R OAD AND Z ACHARY L ANE P AVEMENT R EHABILITATION P ROJECT (ST209005) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner, and GMH Asphalt Corporation as the contractor, have entered into an agreement for the Schmidt Lake Road and Zachary Lane Pavement Rehabilitation Project. Said agreement was approved by the City Council on March 26, 2020; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the request for final payment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. That the original contract amount between the owner and the contractor was $3,733,130.00, the revised contract amount was $3,735,477.10, and the value of the work to date is $3,793,014.00 and is approved. The final contract amount is $57,536.90, or 1.5% above the revised contract amount. 2. That the work performed by the contractor for the Schmidt Lake Road and Zachary Lane Pavement Rehabilitation Project and certified to the Council by the engineer as acceptable, being the same, is released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the owner, required guarantees, and correction of faulty work after final payment. 3. Request for Payment No. 7 and Final in the amount of $40,396.87 to GMH Asphalt Corporation for the Schmidt Lake Road & Zachary Lane Pavement Rehabilitation Project is approved and the Finance Manager is authorized and directed to pay the same forthwith. 4. The total project cost is $4,361,966.10 which included the improvements ($3,793,014.00) and 15% for engineering and administration ($568,952.10). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funding for this project would be from special assessments ($85,449.14), Street Reconstruction Fund ($3,225,059.11), Municipal State Aid Fund ($750,000.00), Water Fund ($161,986.65), Water Resources Fund ($106,897.45), and Sewer Fund ($32,573.75). APPROVED by the City Council on this 14th day of December, 2021.
