C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2021-333
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING T REE M AINTENANCE C ONTRACT FOR 2022-2023
WHEREAS, the Park and Forestry Division will act on the Tree Maintenance Contract for 2022-
2023 on City owned lands program; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with City bids, specifications were proposed and published in the
Plymouth Sun Sailor on September 30 and October 7, 2021. Bids were received and opened on October
22, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. for the Tree Maintenance Contract for 2022-2023; and
WHEREAS, two valid bids were received by the City for the bid amounts listed below; and
- Ostvig Tree, Inc. $305,350
- Davey Tree Expert Co. $320,000
WHEREAS, Ostvig Tree, Inc. has performed satisfactorily for the City of Plymouth the past seven
years; and
WHEREAS, the bid of Ostvig Tree, Inc. is in conformance with City specifications for tree
removal, street tree trimming, and hauling and is declared the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the Tree Maintenance Contract with Ostvig Tree, Inc. for 2022-2023 is approved.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 14th day of December, 2021.
