HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2021-243 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION 2021-243 A PPROVING F INDINGS OF F ACT FOR Z ONING O RDINANCE T EXT A MENDMENT TO ALLOW A D OG D AY/O VERNIGHT B OARDING U SE TO I NCLUDE AN I NDOOR D OG P ARK, A V ETERINARY C LINIC WITH G ROOMING, AND/OR AN A CCESSORY R ESTAURANT IN THE G ENERAL I NDUSTRIAL D ISTRICT (2021042) WHEREAS, Dr. Angela Woodward initiated a zoning ordinance text amendment to uses allowed by conditional use permit in the general industrial district; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendment at a duly called public hearing and recommends approval of the text amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should approve the zoning ordinance text amendment to allow a dog day/overnight boarding use to include an indoor dog park, a veterinary clinic with grooming, and/or an accessory restaurant with a conditional use permit in the I-2, General Industrial District based upon the finding that the proposed amendment would be consistent with the city’s comprehensive plan and with the purpose and intent of the city’s ordinances and policies.
