RESOLUTION NO. 2021-203
RESOLUTION APPROVING SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR AN EMERGENCY
BACK-UP GENERATOR AT 19020 HAMEL ROAD (2021037)
WHEREAS, Crown Castle USA, Inc. has requested approval of a site plan amendment to allow
installation of an emergency back-up generator for the cell tower site located at Hamel VFW, 19020
Hamel Road; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public meeting
and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and does approve the request by Crown Castle USA, Inc. for a site plan
amendment to allow installation of an emergency back-up generator at 19020 Hamel Road, subject to
the following conditions:
1. A site plan amendment is approved to allow installation of an emergency back-up generator
in accordance with the application and plans received by the City on May 26, 2021, except
as may be amended by this resolution.
2. Prior to commencement of the generator installation, the applicant shall secure any
required building permits.
3. The applicant shall conduct routine generator testing and maintenance on weekdays
between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
4. The permit is subject to all applicable building and fire codes, and to all city regulations and
ordinances. Any violation thereof shall be grounds for revocation.
5. Standard Conditions:
a. The amendment is subject to all applicable city codes, building codes, and fire codes.
Any violation thereof shall be grounds for revocation.
b. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals per
ordinance provisions.
c. The site plan amendment shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the
property owner or applicant has started the project, or unless the applicant, with the
consent of the property owner, has received prior approval from the City to extend the
expiration date for up to one additional year, as regulated under Section 21045.09 of
the City Code.
