R ESOLUTION N O. 2021-163
R ESOLUTION P ROHIBITING A CCESS TO S UNSET T RAIL FOR
P ROPERTY L OCATED AT 217 P INEVIEW L ANE (2021036)
WHEREAS, Larry and Karen Kopp have requested that private driveway access to Sunset Trail be
prohibited for their property located at 217 Pineview Lane; and
WHEREAS, the property is legally described as: The East 140 feet lying North of County Road No. 15,
except the North 150 feet thereof, all in the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 34,
Township 118 North, Range 22, West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Hennepin County, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, Sunset Trail is classified as a major collector roadway and Pineview Lane is classified as a
local street; and
WHEREAS, the property has street frontage on Sunset Trail and Pineview Lane, and the home both
faces and has private driveway access to Pineview Lane; and
WHEREAS, prohibiting access to Sunset Trail from this property would designate the yard area
abutting Sunset Trail as an equivalent side yard instead of a front yard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the request to prohibit private driveway access to Sunset Trail from 217 Pineview Lane is
approved.
