R ESOLUTION N O. 2021-159
R ESOLUTION A CCEPTING D ONATION FOR P URCHASE OF P OLICE K-9
WHEREAS, the mission of the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund is to work with the Public
Safety Department to identify, develop and support special initiatives that reduce crime and enhance
safety in the City of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, in January 2021, the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund launched a community
fundraising campaign for the purchase of a police K-9 for the City; and
WHEREAS, through the generosity of the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund, the Plymouth
Lions Club, the Luce Line Brewery and Plymouth residents and business owners, $15,500 was raised to
purchase a police K-9.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the donation of $15,500 for the purchase of a police K-9 is accepted.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 25th day of May, 2021.
