R ESOLUTION N O. 2021-092
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING R ENAMING OF P LYMOUTH C REEK C ENTER
WHEREAS, prior to opening the Plymouth Creek Center more than 20 years ago, the City
Council, Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission (PRAC), and Youth Advisory Council spent several
months discussing and selecting the Plymouth Creek Center name; and
WHEREAS, with a major renovation and expansion underway, it is an appropriate time to
consider whether the facility name should remain Plymouth Creek Center or be changed to Plymouth
Community Center; and
WHEREAS, regardless of the name selected, either option allows the facility to continue to be
referred to as “PCC,” which is commonly used by community members and staff.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that renaming of Plymouth Creek Center to Plymouth Community Center is approved.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 9th day of March, 2021.
