Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a I' meeting of the City
Council of thl- City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 15th day of
December , 19 80 . The following members were present:
Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils, Schneider and Inreinen
king members were absent: none
Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and moved

RESOLUTION NO. 80- 932
DIRECTING SUBMISSION OF UPDATED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Village Council on July 2, 1973 passed Resolution No. 73-242
adopting an official Village Comprehensive Municipal Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, Minnesota Statutes Chapters 473.851-
473.872, required the City to prepare a comprehensive plan in accordance with
Laws 1976, Chapter 127, Sections 1 to 23, and to submit said plan to the Metro-
politan Council for review; and,
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Comprehensive Land Use Guide Plan and supporting plans have
been reviewed and updated with the intent of submitting the updated comprehensive
plan in accordance with -'he Metropolitan Land Planning Act; and,
WHEREAS, per Plymouth City Council Resolution No. 80-340, the City of Plymouth
requested, and was subsequently granted,an extension of the comprehensive plan
submittal deadline from July 1, 1980 to December 31, 1980; and,
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 28, 1980,
at which time the Commission recommended approval of the updated plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council and Planning Commission held a joint public
hearing on October 13, 1980, to receive further public review and comment on the
updated Comprehensive Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act requires that local governmental units
submit their proposed plans to adjacent governmental units - ' affected school
districts for review and comment prior to submission of the plans to the Metro-
politan Council; and,
WHEREAS, the updated Comprehensive Plan was distributed to adjacent governmental
units and affected school districts on or before July 1, 1980; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has received no notice of objections to or problems
with the Plymouth Comprehensive Plan from adjacent governmental units and affected
school districts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does direct submission of the updated
Comprehensive Plan to the Metropolitan Council pursuant to the Metropolitan Land
Planning Act.
