HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-863CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 17th day of November , 1980 . The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenpor-f—,Tloyt, Neils and 'Schneider The following members were absent: none tom* *#* *** Coun�ilmember Davenport introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80- 863 RESOLUTION APPROVING A JOINT AND COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT DATED (1980) BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH AND THE NORTHWEST SUBURBS CABLE COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION WHEREAS, on September 24, 1979, the City of Plymouth did enter into a formal cooperative agreement with nine northwest area municipalities to provide research and advice regarding the cable television franchising process; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plymouth and those of the other nine participating municipalities now deem it appropriate that a revised joint powers group be formed with the power to approve and administer a cable television franchise; t nd WHEREAS, numerous advantages are inherent in the joint franchising process; and WHEREAS, a revised joint and cooperative agreement dated (1980) has been submitted for City Council consideration; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, that it should and hereby does authorize the City's participation in the Northwest Suburbs Cable Communication Commission and further authorizes the Mayor and. City Manager to execute a joint and cooperative agreement dated (1980).
