Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the
29th day of September 19 80 . The following members
were present: Acting Manor Davenport,C— ounciTmembers loyt, Neils and Schneider.
The following members were absent:`

Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-730
URGING AND DIRECTING MEMBERS OF ADVISORY COMMISSIONS TO
PHYSICALLY VIEW AND INSPECT PROPERTIES AND SITES WHICH
ARE SUBJECT OF COMMISSION DELIBERATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, acting by and through its City Council, has
established advisory commissions to assist the Council in the making of
decisions with respect to various matters brought before it for determination;
and
WHEREAS, the work of such commissions often involves consideration of matters
involving land use planning, platting, site plan reviews, park and recreational
matters, variances, conditional use permits and items of a like nature; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be desirable that in the consideration of such matters
the members of the various advisory commissions actually view and inspect the
sites with respect to which they are called upon to make judgments and deter-
minations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that members of advisory commissions of the City be encouraged, urged
and directed to physically travel to and view the sites and properties which
from time to time are the subjects of their deliberations and considerations
whenever personal schedules permit and with respect to which said commissions
make recommendations to the City Council.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
