The following members were present: lipa Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils and Schneider ng members were absent: Mayor Hunt Coancilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved s adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80-722 ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS PROJECT 906 AND 919 MEDICINE RIDGE AND AMERIKS ADDITIONS AREA WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for the following improvement: Medicine Ridge Road from 26th Avenue northwesterly from approximately 1750 feet, 28th Avenue southwest of Medicine Ridge Road, 28th Avenue from Medicine Ridge Road to Nathan Lane, 27th Avenue southwest of Medicine Ridge Road, 27th Avenue west of Quaker Lane, Quaker Lane south from 28th Avenue North to its terminus, Pilgrim Lane from 27th Avenue to 28th Avenue North, 27th Avenue North from Pilgrim Lane to Nathan Lane, Nathan Lane from 26th Avenue to 28th Avenue North, Revere Lane from Medicine Lake Boulevard to Medicine Lake Road, 26th Avenue from Medicine Boulevard to Nathan Lane by the installation of sanitary sewer lateral, water lateral and trunk facilities, storm sewer, bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter and necessary appurtenances. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assess- ment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 5 years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1981, and shall bear interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment,from the date of this Resolution until December 31, 1981. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. Resolution N 80-722 Page 2 I. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assess- ment on ,uch property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Finance Director, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assess- ment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this Resolution; and tie may at any time thereafter pay the City Finance Director the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this Resolution is: Sanitary Sewer $ 58,722.88 Sanitary Sewer Service 2,494.64 Water Lateral 52,880.32 Water Service 1,950.88 Street 358,535.47 Storm Sewer 6,054.30 $480,638.49 6. The total cost to be financed by the city is: $0.00.
