The following members were present: Actin Mayor Davenporc, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils and Schneider The following members were absent: Mayor Hunt Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and moved is adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80-721 ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS PROJECT 908 - MEDINA ROAD AREA WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for the following improvement: Medina Road from Vicksburg Lane to 28th Avenue, 28th Avenue from Niagara Lane to Medina Road, Ranchview, Lane from 32nd Avenue to Medina Road, 31st Avenue from Ranchview Lane East to its terminous by the installation of Sanitary Sewer Lateral, Watermain Lateral, Storm Sewer, Bituminous Street with Concrete Curb and Gutter and all necessary appurtenances. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assess- ment levied against it. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 5 years, the first of the installments to be payable ori or before. the first Monday in January, 1981, and shall bear interest at the rake of 8% per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest.on the entire assessment from the date of this Resolution until December 31, 1981. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. Resolution 180-721 Page 2 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assess- ment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Finance Director, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assess- ment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this Resolution; and he may at any time thereafter pay the City Finance Director the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this Resolution is: Sanitary Sewer $ 96,428.77 Watermain 110,865.76 Street 586,770.76 Storm Sewer 262,761.92 Total Cost $1,056,827.21 6. The total cost to be financed by the City is: $ 0.00.
