HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-719CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a s ecial meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 29th day of Seutembgr 19 8�. The following members were present: Actino Mayor Davenportz_Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils and Schneider were Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved Its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80- 719 ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS PROJECT 846 - RAPPAPORT AREA RAPPAPORT ADDITION WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for the following improvement: 30th Avenue from West Medicine Lake Drive to Larch Lane, Larch Lane from 30th Avenue southeasterly approximately 532 feet and from 30th Avenue north approxi- mately 179 feet, Magnolia Lane northwesterly from 30th Avenue and Medicine Lake Drive from 30th Avenue southeasterly approximately 292 feet and from 30th Avenue northwesterly approximately 610 feet, by the installation of bituminous street, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, watermain lateral, sanitary sewer lateral and trunk facilities, bike path and all necessary appurtenances. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: s s 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a pact hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein and each tract of land therein included is`°hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assess- ment levied against it. 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of 5 years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1981, and shall bear interest .at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of thisResolution' until December 31, 1981 To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid<lnstatlments. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assess- ment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Finance Director, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assess- ment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this Resolution; and he may at any time thereafter pay the City Finance Director the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
