HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-661CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meetino of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the i 15th day of September , 19 80. The following members were present: Acting Mayor Davenport, Councilmem�ers Hoyt and Schneider The following members were absent: Mayor Hunt, Counci I member Nei Is .Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80- 661 CALLING HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT DELINQUENT SANITARY SEWER AND WATER SERVICE CHARGES WHEREAS, by a Resolution passed by the Council on September 15, 1980, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment for certain charges for sanitary sewer and water service which have not been paid as provided by law, and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has now been completed and filed in the Clerk's office for public inspection, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A public hearing shall be held on the 6th day of Octuber, 1980 in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnescta at 7:30 p.m, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hoyt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote i—n-7avor thereof: rreof: Acting Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt and Schneider 1—hi-7ollowing voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passe and adopted.
