The following members were present: Acting Mayor Davenport, Councilmem e—rs Hoyt and Schneider The following members were absent: Mayor Hunt, Counci ]member Nei I s �Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80- 660 CALLING HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION CHARGES WHEREAS, by a Resolution passed by the City Council on September 15, 1980, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment for the destruction and eradication of noxious weeds on certain lands within the City as provided by law, and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: r 1. A hearing shall be held on the 6th day of October, 1980 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard thereon with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hoyt , and upon vote being taken the r n, the 0 owing voted in favor thereof:Counc ort, Acting Mayor Davenpfmembers Hoyt and Schneider The following voted against ora stained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pabsed and adopted.
