HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-659CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a —regular meeting_ of • the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 15th day of September , 19 80. The following members were present: Acting Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt and Schneider The following members were absent: Mayor Hunt, C-ouncilmember Neils �oWncilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0, 80- 659 RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT REMOVAL AND DESTRUCTION OF DISEASED TREES WHEREAS, by a Resolution passed by the Council on September 15, 1980, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment for the removal and destruction of diseased trees on certain lands within the City as provided by law, and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, 10 MINNESOTA: 1. A hearing shall be held on the 6th day of October, 1980, in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement ,rill be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by ®Councilmember Hoyt and upon vote bein taken thereg, the following vote in favor ereo : Acting Mayor Dave ort, Counciim�mbers Ho t and Davenport Th—e-TO-11owing voted against or abstained: Nont: '— Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passe and adopted.
