HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-640CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due tail and notice thereof, a special meetino_ of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the Ind day of September , 19 80. The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Counci�lmembersDavenpor�, Neils and Schneider The following members were absent: Councilmember Hoyt Councilmember Davenport introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80-640 RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT 908 - MEDINA ROAD AREA WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on September 2, 1980, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the total cost of the following improvements: 1. Medina Road from Vicksburg Lane to 28th Avenue 2. 28th Avenue from Niagara Lane to Medina Road 3. Ranchview Lane from 32nd Ave. to Medina Road 4. 31st Avenue from Ranchview Lane east to its terminus . by the installation of watermain laterals and sanitary sewer laterals, bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A hearing shall be held on the 29th day of September, 1980, in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by ouncilmember Neils '1•avor and upon vote being taken thereon, the following oted—i n thereof: Mayor Hunt, Counci lmembers Davenport, Neils nd Schneider� Thefolowl— ing voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
