Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting_ of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
2nd day of Se tember 19 80. The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Councimem ers avenpo-rT,- Neils and Schneider
The following members were absent: Councilmember Hoyt
C uncilmember Davenport introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-629
RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING
PREPRATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
PROJECT 801 - VICKSBURG LANE - COUNTY ROAD 9 TO COUNTY ROAD 47
WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of:
1. Vicksburg Lane from County Road 9 to County Road 47
by the installation of bituminous street, storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances,
and the contract price for such improvement is $796,334.52, and the expenses incurred
or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $180,250.08, so the
total cost of the improvement will be $976,584.55, and of this cost the City will pay
$640,843.20, as its share of the cost;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared
to be $335,741.35
2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith
calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement
against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district
affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and shall
file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the Clerk for
public inspection.
3. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify
the Council thereof.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
to] wing voted n favor thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport,
the toi;owing voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
