HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-627CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day of September , 19 80 . The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Neils and Schneider The ow members were absent:oC unci me'l em-ber Hoyt Councilmember Davenport introduced the following Resolution and moved is adoption: - RE50LUTION NO. 80-627 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSEMENT PROJECTS 909 & 916 - AMERIKS 1st ADDITION & MEDICINE RIDGE AREA WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement ot: 1. Medicine Ridge Road from 7.6th Avenue North, Northwesterly for approximately 1750 feet 2. 28th Avenue North, West of Medicine Ridge Road 3. 27th Avenue North, West of Medicine Ridge Road 4. Revere Lane from Medicine Lake Boulevard to Medicine Lake Road 5. 28th Avenue North from Medicine Ridge Road to Nathan Lane 6. Quaker Lane from 28th Avenue North to Medicine Ridge Road 7. 27th Avenue West of Quaker Lane 8. Pilgrim Lane from 28th Avenue North to 26th Avenue North 9. Nathan Lane from 28th Avenue North to 26th Avenue North 10. 26th Avenue North from Medicine Lake Boulevard to Nathan Lane by the installation of watermain laterals and trunk facilities, sanitary sewer laterals, storm sewer, bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, and all necessary appurtenances and the contract price for such improvement is $457,157.28 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred the the making of said improvement amount to $93,211.67, so the total cost of the improvement will be $550,368.95, and of this cost the City will pay $ 0.00 as.its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $550,368.95. 2. It is further determined that the following charges for water and trunk main, pumping and storage facilities for the above referenced project shall be applied to the existing land use zoning. 0 Resolution 80-627 Page 2 Residential: $475.00 per 1/2 acre lot or $950.00 per acre 3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the.office of the Clerk for public inspection. 4. The Clerk shall, upon completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof.
