HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-603CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 25th day of August , 1980 . The following members were present: Mayor Hunt. Councilmembers Hoyt, Davenport, Neils and Schneider The following members were absent: None Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 - 603 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PROPOSED BUILDING PROJECT FOR LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES AND ALLOCATING FUNDS FOR PLYMOUTH'S CONTRIBUTION THERETO WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities is an organization designed to represent municipalities within the State of Minnesota; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is a member of this organization and accrues benefits from said membership; and WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities through their Board of Directors has recommended to membership cities that the League initiate a building construction project to house the League in future years; and WHEREAS, member cities have been asked to express their preference with regard to the repayment option which they prefer for paying associated building construction costs; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth that it should and hereby does: 1. Support the League of Minnesota Cities building construction project and further, 2. Supports Option 1 - Lump Sum Payment, for repaying related construction costs in the amount of $8,708.00 for the City of Plymouth and further, that the amount of $8,708.00 is hereby allocated from Account No. 101- 190-899 reserved for contingency for the repayment of Plymouth's share of the building construction costs.
