the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the

Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-571
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR COUNTY ROAD 15 BIKEWAY
PROJECT 708
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has applied to the Commissioner of Transportation
for a grant from the Minnesota Outdoor Recreation Act, Chapter 421 for the develop-
ment of a bikeway (termini sections are: begins CSAH 73 - ends I-494) and located
within CSAH 15 road right-of-way;
WHEREAS, the amount of the grant has been determined to be $140,534.74 by reason
of the lowest responsible bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the City of Plymouth does hereby affirm that any cost of the bikeway
in excess of the grant will be the responsibility of the City of Plymouth, and
that any grant monies appropriated for the bikeway but not required, based on the
final estimate, shall be returned to the Minnesota Outdoor Recreation Fund, Minne-
sota Department of Transportation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign and execute on
behalf of the City of Plymouth (county of Hennepin), Grant Agreement Number
27-3105-03, with the State of Minnesota, a copy of which was before the City Council.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Hoyt and upon vote being taken thereon, the
