Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Mi — sota was�hel-d-on`the
11th day of August 19 80 . The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Counci mem ers avenpor-F Hoyt, Neils and Schneider
The following members were absent: None
Mayor Hunt introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-567
CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR REVIEW OF THE REVISED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, Minnesota Statutes Chapters
473.851-473.872, required the City to prepare a comprehensive plan in
accordance with Laws 1976, Chapter 127, Sections 1 to 23; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Comprehensive Land Use Guide Plan and supporting
plans have been reviewed and updated during the past several years with
the intent of submitting the updated comprehensive plan in accordance with
the Metropolitan Land Planning Act; and
WHEREAS, Section 462.355 Subd. 2 of the Minnesota Statutes requires that
the planning agency hold at least one hearing prior to adoption of the
comprehensive municipal plan or any section or amendment of the plan; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Planning Commission held a public hearing on the
updated comprehensive plan prior to distribution of the plan update to
adjacent governmental units and affected school districts for review and
comment as required by the Metropolitan Land Planning Act; and
WHEREAS, the City is preparing a final version of the proposed Comprehensive
Plan Update for submission to the tietropolitan Council as required by the
Metropolitan Land Planning Act following adjacent governmental unit and
school district review;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does call a joint City Council
and Planning Commission hearing for review of the revised Comprehensive Plan
Update to be held October 13, 1980, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of
the Plymouth City Center.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Co ncilmember Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following vote n favor thereof: yor Hunt Councilmembers Davenport,
Hot Neils and Schneider
The following voted against or abstainiT None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
