HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-535CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was a on the 4th day of Aucust , 19 80 , The following members were present: Mayor Hunt Councilmem ersavenpor�, Hoyt and Schneider The following members were absent: ounce mem er NeI19 cguocilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80- 535 APPROVING AMENDED SITE PLAN AND VARIANCES FOR HOLIDAY STATIONSTORES, INC. AT 10900 STATE HIGHWAY 55 (80029) WHEREAS, Holiday Stationstores, Inc. has requested approval of a site plan amendment and variances to install a canopy over the gasoline pumps at 10900 State Highway 55; and, WHEREAS, the request has been reviewed by the Planning Commission which has recommended approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLY- MOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the site plan amend- ment and variances for Holiday Stationstores, Inc. to install a canopy over the gasoline pumps at the existing building located at 10900 State Highway 55 subject to the following conditions: 1. The canopy shall be attached to the building and shall be constructed of fire-resistant materials. 2. Signage shall be as proposed on the canopy and the existing pylon sign. 3. Exterior finish of the canopy and the building in earth -tone colors and materials per letter from petitioner dated May 19, 1980. 4. Variances for the projection of the canopy shall be granted recognizing that a) the setback from Highway 55 allows adequate visual effect, and b) this improves the property, and the area. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hoyt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the Tol owing voted In favor t ereo : Mayor Hunt, Councilmember Davenport, Hoyt and Schneider The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passe an a op e
