HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-490CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was -held- on the 28th day of July , 19 80 . The following members were present: flavor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt and Schneider The following memberswere absent: Councilmember Neils "o,nri3mcmber Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 - 490 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT NO. 925 CRITERION MPUD STREET AND UTILITIES IMPROVEMENT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Criterion NPUD street and utilities improvement, and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractors Total Base Bid Contractors Total Base Bid Northdale Construction Co. $553,698.80 G.L. Contracting 606,194.00 A.C.G. Mechanical 565,896.68 C.W. Houle 612,606.50 Nodland Associates 576,379.80 Lametti & Sons 613,000.00 Encon Utilities 590,921.90 Brown & Cris 621,431.00 Progressive Contractors 594,599.75 Minn -Kota Excavating 630,120.70 Hennen Construction 595,126.30 Orfei & Sons 659,152.49 Julian M. Johnson 595,169.64 Axel Newman Htg. & Mueller Pipeliners 597,622.75 Plbg.(New Mech) 703,792.39 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Northdale Construction Co. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Northdale Construction Co. of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth, for the construction of Project 925 in the amount of $551,839.80. (Includes alternate bid for 720 long radius bend in lieu of 6' diameter manholes.) 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolutiun was duly seconded by and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt and Schneider The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
