Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular _ar meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth,esota, was helTon the

Councilmember Ho t introduced the following Resolution and
moved Its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-451
REQUESTING INCREASE IN APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS
FOR BASSETT CREEK FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission has undertaken a
project for the improvement of Bassett Creek, and
WHEREAS, the Congress has appropriated money for this project to be
undertaken by the Corps of Engineers, and
WHEREAS, the Congress has appropriated $170,000.00 in the 1981 budget
for the Arag► Corps of Engineers to continue planning for the Bassett
Creek budget, and
WHEREAS, the Army Corps of Engineers now has found that they have the
capability in fiscal 1981 to spend $360,000.00, or an increase of
$190,000.00 over the amount contained in the President's budget, and
WHEREAS, the Army Corps of Engineers has further indicated to the Bassett
Creek Flood Control Commission that if they are able to obtain the full
$360,000.00 funding for 1981, they will be able to maintain their original
schedule for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Congress of the United States of America
is hereby requested to increase the 1981 appropriation for the Bassett
Creek Flood Control Commission project from $170,000.00 to $360,000.00
in order that the project may stay on schedule.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
tollowinp ro n favor : Acting Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duty pass and -adopted.
