RESOLUTION N0. 80.437 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT 905 FERNBROOK LANE IMPROVEMENT - HIGHWAY 55 TO CO. RD. 6 WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of: 1. Fernbrook Lane from CSAH 6 to T.H. 55, 2. the extension of Cheshire Lane southerly to 25th Avenue, and 3. improvement to an urban cross-section of the existing Cheshire Lane south of T.H. 55 by the installation of a 9 -ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter and including full grading, gravel base, bituminous surface, all necessary drainage facilities, sanitary sewer, watermain and all appurtenances, and the contract price for such improvement is $ 684,393.70 , and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $148,928.30 , so the total cost of the improvement will be $833,322.00 ; and of this cost the City will pay $71,657.55 as its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $ 761,664.45 2. It is further determined that the following charges for sanitary sewer and water trunk facilities and pumping and storage facilities for the above - referenced project shall be applied to the existing land use zoning. Sewer Area Commercial: $900.00/acre Residential: $600.00/acre Nater Area Commercial: $1425.00/acre Residential: 950.00/acre 3• The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially ass ssed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the Clerk for public inspection. 4. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. Resolution No.80-437 Page 2
