Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting_ of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
23rd day of June , 19 80. The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt and Schneider
The following members were absent: Counci members Davenport and Neils
Mayor Hunt introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-401
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID
1980 SEAL COAT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1980 Seal Coat Program;
and
WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Company Total Bid
Bituminous Roadways, Inc. $228,274.19
Allied Blacktop 216,475.14
Batzer Construction Co. 240,962.21
Blactop Service Co. 225,261.18
AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Allied Blacktop Co, is the lowest responsible bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into
the attached contract with Allied Blacktop Co. in the name of the
City of Plymouth for the 1980 Seal Coat Program in the amount of
$216,475.14.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith
to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the
deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be
retained until a contract has been signed.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the
0 owing voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hunt. Council members Hoyt and
Schneider
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
