Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a ial meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth,iNinnesota was held on the
21rd day ofdune 19 _. The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt. Councilmembers Hoyt and Schneider
The following members were absent: CouncilmembPrs Dav nnort and KPils
introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-400
APPROVING UPDATED THOROUGHFARE GUIDE PLAN AND MAP
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Village Council on February 28, 1972, passed Resolution
No. 72-80 accepting and adopting a Thoroughfare Guide Plan for the Village of
Plymouth; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, Minnesota Statutes Chapters
473.851-473.872, required the City to prepare a comprehensive plan in
accordance with Laws 1976, Chapter 127, Sections 1 to 23, and Minnesota
Statutes Chapter 473.859 Subdivision 3 required that the plan include a
transportation plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council on November 7, 1977, passed Resolution
No. 77-652 authorizing execution of a contract with Barton-Aschman and
Associates for a comprehensive plan update project including updating of
the 1972 Thoroughfare Guide Plan for inclusion in the comprehensive plan
required by the Metropolitan Land Planning Act; and,
WHEREAS, Barton-Aschman and Associates prepared a Thoroughfare Guide Plan
Update and presented a final draft to the Planning Commission at a study
meeting held April 9, 1980, and the Planning Commission and City Staff
directed minor revisions to the draft at that time; and,
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Planning Commission on May 28, 1980 following a
duly called public hearing, recommended approval of a draft Comprehensive
Plan Update including the revised Thoroughfare Guide Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the revised
Thoroughfare Guide Plan Update prepared by Barton-Aschman and Associates
and dated June, 1980.
FURTHER, those plats currently under review which have received concept
or preliminary approval prior to adoption of this plan shall refer to
the 1972 Thoroughfare Guide Plan.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Schneider and upon vote being taken thereon, the
