Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was heldon the
27th day of May , 1980 . The following members were
present: Acting Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hot Neils and Schneider.
The following rren ers were absent: Mayor Hunt
Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and
moved its a option:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-345
AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATIONS) FOR AVAILABLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT "BONUS FUNDS" TO FACILITATE DEVELOPMENT OF APPROVED LOW/MODERATE
INCOME HOUSING
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Metropolitan
Council have informed the City that certain Community Development Block Grant
"bonus funds" are available to facilitate the construction of housing for low
and moderate income families; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as a matter of policy supports the development of
low to moderate income housing in the community and has approved several such
projects, the development of which has yet to commence; and,
WHEREAS, the City has received requests from two prospective developers of such
housing to process applications for the available "bonus funds" for purposes of
facilitating the construction of the proposed housing; and,
WHEREAS, a duly called public hearing has been held by the Plymouth Housing and
Redevelopment Authority which endorses the Submittal of application(s) for said
"bonus funds";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does authorize the submittal of application(s)
for available Community Development Block Grant "bonus funds" on behalf of the
following developer(s) whose application requests have been found to be in order
for submittal to Metropolitan Council and the Department of Housing and Urban
Development:
Dominium Group, Inc. $ 70,000.00
Leighton Larsson 226,000.00
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
