HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-311EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Plymouth Council of the City of Plymouth, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, May 5 , 1980, commencing at 7:30 o'cl-ock P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt, Neils and Schneider and the following were absent: None. The following resolution was presented by Councilmember Neils who moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80-311 RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED PROJECT UNDER THE MINNESOTA MUNICIPAL INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ACT. WHEREAS, Union City Mission, Inc., a Minnesota non-profit corpor- ation (the "Company") has proposed that the City undertake and finance a project under the Municipal Industrial Development Act Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 474 (the "Act"); and WHEREAS, the Act, as amended, requires that a public hearing on the proposed project be conducted by the Council before any action may be taken -by it relative to the proposed project: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth: 1. The Council shall meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 1980 to conduct a public hearing on the proposed project re- quested by the Company and to take whatever action in rela- tion thereto as it deems appropriate. 2. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to publish notice of the hearing in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A once in the official newspaper and once in the Minneapolis Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation in the City, not less than 15 days prior to June 2, 1980. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hoyt and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor of the motion: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt, Neils and Schneider and the following voted against: None. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
