Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on t e
28th day of April , 19 80 . The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt Councilmembers Daven ort, Neils and Schneider
The following members were absent: Councimember Hoyt
Councilmember Davenport introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption.
RESOLUTION NO. 80-289
RESOLUTION APPROVING SUPPLEMENTARY AGREEMENT NUMBER ONE
BETWEEN THE CITY AND !NDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT 281
FOR DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNITY PLAYFIELD FACILITIES
AT PLYMOUTH JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
WHEREAS, the City has undertaken to construct six community playfields within the
City of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Junior High School site is proposed as the location as one of
the community playfields; and
WHEREAS, there exists a Joint and Cooperative Agreement for Recreational Facilities
with Independent School District 281 dated May 6, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the construction of additional municipal playfield facilities on School District
land makes it desirable for the City and School District to set forth in writing their
respective interests with regard to the lease of such property through Supplementary
Agreement Number One dated April 28, 1980; and
WHEREAS, on April 21 the School Board for Independent School District No. 281 met,
considered and approved Supplementary Agreement Number One.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth that it should
and hereby does approve Supplementary Agreement Number One dated April 28, 1980, for
the lease of approximately 19.4 acres at the Plymouth Junior High School site for the
construction of community playfield facilities and further that the Mayor and City
Manager are hereby autohrized and directed to enter into this agreement.
