HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-275CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to aue call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, innesota was held on the 21st day of April , 19 80 . The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt, Neils and Schneider The following members were absent: None Councilmember Davenport introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO, 80- 275 DENYING SITE PLAN AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPROVAL FOR THE "GROUND ROUND" CLASS I RESTAURANT FOR DONALD POUPARD (79078) WHEREAS, Donald Poupard has requested site plan and conditional use permit approval for a "Ground Round" restaurant at the southeast corner of 27th Avenue North and Annapolis Lane; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing and recommends its denial; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does deny the request of Donald Poupard for site plan and conditional use permit approval for a "Ground Round" restaurant at the southeast corner of 27th Avenue North and Annapolis Lane for the following reasons: 1. The site cannot support the proposed intense use. 2. An undesirable precedent would be established by permitting the requested approximate 17 variances. 3. Other allowable less intense B-1 uses could be developed on the site with fewer variances. 4. There is no demonstrable comprehensive hardship to warrant the requested variances needed for the proposed development. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by CouncilmemberHHUt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voteā€”in favor -thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt.
