The fo7'owing members were present: Mayor Hunt, Counci mem ers o t, Yells and Schneider The follow ng members were a sen : Councilmember DavenDort Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Pesolution and moved its a optlor,: RESOLUTION NO. 80-208 AUTHORIZING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR COUNTY ROAD 15 BIKEWAY WHEREAS, the adopted Trail System Plan reflects a Bikeway along County Road 15 extending from County Road 73 to Vicksburg Lane; and WHEREAS, the 1980-81 Parks C.I.P. contemplates the construction of the County Road 15 Bikeway; and WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council has accepted feasibility reports for Bikeway construction along County Road 15; and WHEREAS, Council has directed that staff explore alternate funding sources; and WHEREAS, staff has identified the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Hennepin County Department of Transportation as alternate funding agencies; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that: 1. The County Road 15 Bikeway project be phased for 1980 and 1981 construction so as to maximize the funding resources of grants from the respective agencies. 2. A public hearing be held for the entire project so as to inform the citizens directly affected by the improvement. 3. Acquisition of required easements should be undertaken as soon as plans and specifications are prepared and approved. 4. Construction plans and specifications be prepared at an estimated cost of $13,500 to be appropriated from the Park Dedication Fund, Trails Account. to the Construction Account (401-401-810-708). 5. Staff be directed to apply for 1981 construction grants at the appropriate time to insure Bikeway construction in 1981 of the western segment. 6. That the City accepts the State Grant in the amount of $105,874 and the County Grant in the amount of $35,512.
